We wanted to reflect this time of this time of year and use a lot of in-season winter foliage and branches to help convey our offbeat and slightly untraditional bride. We used a completely white space to let the details shine through. Many brides find themselves struggling between tradition and finding their own path, so we wanted to design something a little offbeat yet still charming, effortless, and relatable.
Elizabeth Dye provided the most impeccable gowns that fit right in with our inspiration - the white Zephyr dress with the cut out in the front is edgy with traditional aspects and the Furiosa dress is a gorgeously deep black two-piece for those daring brides. Add some granny-gray hair, a loose up-do and an ox blood lip and we're in love!
We incorporated lots of moody tones into the decor (the brown leather couch, the fruit, cocktails, cake, floral, pillows, dinnerware, etc.) as well as some artistic details, such as the water color on the invitation suite, the hand-dyed table runner, and the easel. For a subtle pop we incorporated copper here and there. One of our favorite inspirations was dining on the floor with these beautiful, big cushions - made for such a cozy and romantic feel.
Thanks to all the talented vendors involved!
